Luc Julia, a major figure in technological innovation, is currently Chief Scientific Officer at the Renault group since May 2021. He is also co-founder of ODIA, a company based in Occitanie, since March 2020. However, it is above all as co-founder of Siri, the groundbreaking virtual assistant, that Luc Julia made his mark on the history of technology.
His impressive career includes leadership positions at major companies such as Samsung Electronics, Apple and Hewlett-Packard. At Samsung Electronics, as CTO and Senior Vice President of Innovation at the Strategy and Innovation Center, Luc Julia played an essential role in developing ARTIK Cloud, an open, data-centric ecosystem for the Internet of Things. At Apple, he co-wrote Siri's founding patents with Adam Cheyer, his co-founder, while overseeing the expansion and reorganization of the Siri team.
Before joining Samsung Electronics and Apple, Luc Julia was Chief Technologist within Hewlett-Packard's Imaging and Printing Group, where he led the design and implementation of the cloud-based architecture for all connected printers.
Beyond his work at large companies, Luc Julia has also been a prolific entrepreneur, co-founding technology startups such as ORB Networks, BravoBrava! and SpeaK ESL, all focused on developing new interfaces for education and multimedia products.
