Gael Varoquaux is an internationally renowned expert in machine learning and its applications in health and society. He currently serves as Scientific Advisor at Inria, where he leads research on machine learning and its applications in health and society. He also leads the Soda team, dedicated to these topics. He has also been an active member of the Generative AI Committee since September 2023.
Specialized in developing statistical models and inference algorithms for functional brain imaging, Gael is also co-founder of scikit-learn, an open-source Python machine learning software library, widely used by the community.
