About Gaelle Vallee
Gaelle Vallée currently holds the position of Data Director at Galeries Lafayette since July 2023. As the orchestrator of data operations, she is responsible for building added value through the strategic use of data. Her role involves guiding a cross-functional team in identifying opportunities and challenges through in-depth data analysis. She also oversees development teams working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring the solutions built are robust, scalable and cost-effective. In addition, she leads data science initiatives, using advanced techniques such as machine learning and predictive analytics to generate actionable insights. As the manager responsible for Data POs, she oversees the lifecycle of data products and projects, ensuring they meet end-user needs and business goals. She also oversees the creation of intuitive, high-impact data visualizations, making insights easier for stakeholders to understand. Finally, Gaelle nurtures a data-driven company culture, encouraging collaboration, experimentation and innovation at every level of the organization.
Before joining Galeries Lafayette, Gaelle held several positions at Orange, including Data Management Director from February 2019 to June 2023. In that role, she made available all the data needed for the day-to-day operational management of Orange France's operating entities. Her team, passionate about data, was convinced of the importance of good information for effective company management. Before that, she was Head of the Data Analytics Management competence center at Orange Business Services, where she led data management and analysis initiatives. She also held the position of Head of the data mining department at Orange France, where she oversaw the company's data mining operations. Her statistical analysis skills were developed in her role as a Statistical Analyst at Lincoln.
