About Matthieu Burel

Matthieu Burel is an expert in data visualization and business intelligence platforms with varied experience across several well-known companies. He currently holds the role of Data Visualization & BI Platforms Manager at L'Oréal, where he is responsible for the Centers of Excellence for the DataDiscovery & DataVisualization analytics platforms, including Google Looker, Microsoft Power BI and Domo. His role involves overseeing these platforms to help L'Oréal make effective use of its data and make strategic decisions based on in-depth analysis.

Alongside his work at L'Oréal, Matthieu is also a partner at Time for the Planet, a non-profit dedicated to fighting climate change by supporting innovative companies in this field. His involvement reflects his desire to use his skills to make a difference in the world.

Previously, Matthieu worked at Micropole for 15 years, where he held various positions of responsibility in data analysis and visualization. As Cloud & Analytics Manager, he was responsible for developing the company's Data Visualization (Qlik) and Cloud Analytics (Google Cloud Platform & Looker) offering. Before that, as Data & Analytics Manager, he was responsible for Micropole's Data Visualization (Qlik) offering, where he led numerous projects focused on data visualization and storytelling.

His career at Micropole also included roles as project manager, data architect and consultant, where he worked with several leading companies such as Moët Hennessy, GIVENCHY, SEPHORA and SFR to develop and deploy effective data visualization solutions.
