Tushar Bhasin is a seasoned data engineer with varied expertise in data management and operations. He currently holds the role of Senior Data Engineer at BlaBlaCar since September 2021, where he actively contributes to building the Data Mesh, an innovative infrastructure for data management.
Previously, Tushar held key positions at Meero and Papernest, where he was responsible for data engineering. At Meero, he led data engineering efforts, implementing tools such as Apache Airflow for workflow management and orchestrating the migration of the data infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). At Papernest, he played a key role in setting up a data warehouse architecture on BigQuery and developing complex data pipelines.
Before focusing on data engineering, Tushar also gained valuable experience in other areas. He was Head of Business Intelligence at Jumia Group, where he carried out in-depth data analyses and built dashboards to measure KPIs, and held innovation development roles at BNP Paribas Cardif and Airbus, where he introduced technologies such as Machine Learning and Big Data to the insurance and aerospace sectors.
