Raphaël Pfister

Raphael Pfister is a Lead Data Scientist, bringing valuable expertise to Air France in data analysis and data science. Currently Tech Lead Data Scientist at Air France, he plays a key role in the On-time Performance project, aiming to predict flight schedule robustness by simulating behavior when random delays are injected. He led the update of a 2019 PoC to coding standards, followed by its industrialization and model deployment, while supervising three Junior Data Scientists on technical aspects and mentoring an internship project on probabilistic techniques for machine learning applied to the project.

Alongside this, Raphael also contributes as a part-time member of the technical team, where he takes part in designing and implementing a standard MLOps stack for the department. He develops and runs technical training modules tailored to data scientists and provides support to the department's product teams on architecture and implementation questions.

Previously, Raphael built up significant experience as a Senior Data Scientist at MP DATA, where he played a key role in various projects, notably predictive aircraft maintenance and crew planning. His skills in data exploration, feature engineering and model training were used to develop end-to-end solutions in both on-premises and cloud-ready environments.
